SALO COMMUNITY SCREENING IN LANGA – 25 APRIL 2015

On the 25th of April 2015 SALO screened a documentary by Reuters entitled “Xenophobia in South Africa” with local residents in Langa. The discussion before and after the screening looked into the reasons for the recent Xenophobic riots and trying to find solutions to prevent further riots.

There was an overwhelming sentiment that government must prioritise black people and black issues, as black people still feel excluded from this country.

There were approximately 12 attendees: 7 male and 5 females, all South Africans aged between 21 – 30 years old.
