Research Project – COVID-19 Pandemic: Conceptions, beliefs and practices of community members from different socio-cultural backgrounds.

Dear friends of SALO,

SALO is participating in an important research project being run by the University of Pretoria and the University of Zimbabwe, titled COVID-19 Pandemic: Conceptions, beliefs and practices of community members from different socio-cultural backgrounds.

As the SALO research team, we would like to invite you to participate in this research study on the COVID-19 pandemic. If you would be willing to be a participant, either in an online focus group discussion or an online individual interview, please let us know.

The questions we will ask you, in both the focus group discussion, and the interview, will be questions about your views, conceptions, beliefs, and practices around the COVID-19 pandemic. As SALO, we believe in the power of knowledge and research, and we would encourage you to take part in contributing towards generating collective knowledge.

If you are willing to be interviewed or be part of a group discussion, or if you have any further questions, please email lilymanoim@gmail.com or info@salo.org.za and we will send you further information about the research, including the participant information sheet and consent form. Your identity and personal information will be kept confidential by ourselves and the University. We would then be happy to arrange a time that suits you for the interview or the group discussion.
