World AIDS Day

Since 1988, 1 December is celebrated as World AIDS Day. This day is dedicated to raising awareness about the AIDS pandemic that is caused by the spread of the HIV infection. It is a day to reflect on the losses caused by the disease and to mourn those who have died.
