SALO Public Dialogue: Shaping the SADC Youth Perspective on Zimbabwe’s Election – 28 Nov 2023
This dialogue aimed to encourage youth and student mobilisation and conscientisation around developments including the recent elections in Zimbabwe and its impact on migration, the closing of democratic space and other issues in order to build consensus and solidarity among regional youth both within Zimbabwe and externally.
The dialogue built the consciousness of youth leaders on policy issues of concern that impact youth in Zimbabwe, particularly following the 2023 election. As we analyse the outcomes of the recent elections in Zimbabwe, this dialogue is designed to engage and inform SADC’s youth on the implications and our collective role in the region’s future. Various insights contributed to a grounded discussion about strategies and awareness-building among our peers.
