This critical and timely pre-election Public Dialogue focused on the aspirations and perspectives of South Africa’s youth regarding the type of leadership our country needs and the nature of coalition governments.


This dialogue aimed to bring together youth representatives from political parties, youth activists, young academics, and members of civil society to engage in an open and constructive conversation.

It explored:

  • The qualities and values South Africa’s youth seek in their leaders.
  • The role and impact of coalition governments on our nation’s future.
  • Strategies for fostering inclusive and effective governance.
