Kenya’s president vowed Wednesday to keep troops in Somalia to fight Islamist Shebab rebels, apparently dismissing suggestions the country may be drawing up an exit strategy in order to focus on attacks on its own soil.

Uganda Sends More Troops to Somalia
About 2000 soldiers of the Uganda Defense Forces (UDF) have on Monday left for Somalia under the African Union Mission (AMISOM).
The soldiers, under battle group UGABAG 16, are to replace battle group UGABAG 13+ and UN Guard Unit that are scheduled to return to Uganda.

Somalia: 3 Soldiers killed in Mogadishu roadside bombing
Three Army combatants were killed on Tuesday as extremist rebels set off a roadside bomb while their vehicle was passing the outskirts of Mogadishu, Somali capital, officials and witnesses said.
According to witnesses, the soldiers were part of a convoy travelling to an unidentified location close to Mogadishu.
