Francisca Mdleleni

Francisca Mdleleni is SALO’s Operations Manager. Kenyan born and educated, but South African by marriage and residence, she joined SALO in June 2008.  Over the past 9 years SALO has been involved in a range of policy dialogue, community activism and research initiatives in the peace and human security sectors.  Francisca has been key to building the relationship foundation on which all of these efforts have been built.  In addition she had led the establishment of an  organisational base that has allowed for the delivery of an effective and efficient programme. Francisca uses her understanding of the Conflict and Development sectors to complement previous experience as an Administration and Public Relations Manager for a large national company based in Nairobi. Additional experience in Finance and Admin gained while working in South Africa  has stood her in good stead for her current responsibilities in driving SALO’s operations. Francisca also holds a National Diploma in Tourism Management (cum laude), from the University of South Africa.
