Swaziland: Pudemo President Mario Masuku Refused Legal Representation
In what is turning out to be a trend, People’s United Democratic Movement (PUDEMO) President Mario Masuku was refused legal representation by His Majesty’s correctional Services which is headed by Commissioner General Mzuthini Ntshangase.
It has become a norm that officials of the Swaziland security apparatus disregard the law in claiming that they are following orders, especially where the law has to apply to serve political activists. allAfrica.com


SSN Welcomes Stance of ANC, SACP, Cosatu, Sanco On Human Rights Abuses in Swaziland
The Swaziland Solidarity Network (SSN) together with all individuals and entities involved in the fight for freedom and calls for democracy in Swaziland whole heartedly welcomes, embraces and supports the unequivocal stance by the South African Alliance Partners namely ANC, SACP, COSATU and SANCO, in solidarity with the downtrodden people of Swaziland.
The Alliance Secretariat, consisting of the secretaries and deputy secretaries of all Alliance partners, met on Friday 12 September in its regular meeting and discussed organizational and political matters. Bheki Makhubu in court for DD matter
The Nation Magazine Editor Bheki Makhubu is alleged to have recorded an alcohol content specimen of 0.93 mg/1.
This was back in May 29, 2011 when he was arrested by Constable Tevin Ndlangamandla next to Mangwaneni traffic lights.
He was charged for contravening Section 91(1) of the Road Traffic Act No.6 of 2007 in that he drove a motor vehicle registered OSD 145 AH while under the influence of liquor. The Swazi Observer
