“The Central African Republic (CAR) New Political Landscape: A Turning Point in the Country Political Development” by Simon P. Alain Handy

Simon P. Alain Handy spoke last month at a SALO meeting on the Recent Elections in Central African Republic and Prospects for the Future.
Mr Handy is a Harvard Kennedy School of Government (HKS) Senior Executive Fellow (2011). Mr. Handy is a Political Affairs Officer at the United Nations, a policy analyst and a political science, international relations and strategic studies graduate. He has held functions in prominent international organizations in New York and various UN field offices. He is former Special Assistant to the Special Representative of the Secretary General in CAR, Visiting Fellow and member of the Working Group on Disarmament at the European Union Institute for Security Studies (EUISS, Paris in 2009). A research associate at the Thucydides Center of the University of Paris II Panthéon -Assas, he is a Former Auditeur de l’Instiut des Hautes etudes de defense nationale (IHEDN-Paris, France).
