The European Union gifts eSwatini with 2,4 million euros to help the most vulnerable households survive the COVID-19 pandemic.
South Africa:
COVID-19 has created various challenges for the prosecution of gender-based violence, however, South Africa could use this opportunity to become more innovative in its response to gender-based violence.
The Netherlands donates over 100 000 vials of GLY, a substance used to improve the testing of COVID-19 to South Africa.

The United Nations Country Team in Zimbabwe weekly update on COVID-19 covering the week ending on 17 July2020 shows that Zimbabwe has 1,420 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with 438 recoveries and 24 deaths.

SADC:
The Russian Federation and SADC discussed the COVID-19 situation in their respective jurisdictions and the ways in which the Russian Federation could provide support to SADC Member States in the fight against COVID -19. It is already working with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and the Republics of Malawi and South Africa around Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as masks, test kits, disinfectant, and some medical equipment.
